From the name, you can tell I love playing Harpies, but in a meta full of disruptions, negations, and banishment, it can be hard for rogue decks to have fun or go up against the best. Here are five cards you can add to your decks to give you an edge in your duels!<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"crossout-designator\">Crossout Designator<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.statically.io\/gh\/The-Olacaryn-Nebulae\/TheOlacarynNebulae\/638f749\/65681983.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"227\" height=\"330\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A great card for a multitude of occasions. A quick-play spell that can banish 1 card name from your Main Deck to negate the same card&#8217;s effects on the field. Most rogue decks need to search out one of two cards to get started and don&#8217;t have many outs or back-ups like Swordsoul or Kashtira. Imagine a card that can negate Ash Blossoms, Nibiru, Dark Ruler, Effect Veiler, Infinite Imper, etc., all in one. Yep, it&#8217;s <em>that <\/em>good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"book-of-eclipse\">Book of Eclipse<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.statically.io\/gh\/The-Olacaryn-Nebulae\/TheOlacarynNebulae\/638f749\/35480699.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"231\" height=\"336\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though it&#8217;s becoming the standard in some decks with room to play it at a full set of three, it&#8217;s capable of stopping combos and being a nuisance altogether. The card changes all face-up monsters to face-down Defense then flips them back up at the end of the turn. If you run Raigeki or Lightning Storm and want an easy way to kill off their back-row or entire set of monsters, it can be of great use. Just remember that if you use the card and don&#8217;t do anything about their monsters, they get to draw for each card flipped face up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"blockout-curtain\">Blockout Curtain<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.statically.io\/gh\/The-Olacaryn-Nebulae\/TheOlacarynNebulae\/638f749\/53167658.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"218\" height=\"317\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Probably not a card you&#8217;ve heard of, but it&#8217;s totally legit. If a card you control would be destroyed by battle or opponent&#8217;s card effect, then you can destroy this card instead. Then, if a card your opponent controls would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can banish this card from the grave. This card is perfect for control and lockdown decks as it works as a Field Barrier and Counter combined. They&#8217;ll have to worry about taking out this card before they even think about hitting your monsters or set\/face-up Spells and Traps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"evenly-matched\">Evenly Matched<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.statically.io\/gh\/The-Olacaryn-Nebulae\/TheOlacarynNebulae\/638f749\/15693423.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"232\" height=\"337\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another standard, though not used enough in some decks I fight during Casuals both online and offline. At the end of the Battle Phase, if your opponent controls more cards than you, you can make them banish them face-down, so they control the same amount as you do. And if you control no cards, you can use it on the field. An excellent second-turn draw or tag-in from the side deck for going second when you know your opponent runs a combo deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"hypernova-burst\">Hypernova Burst<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.statically.io\/gh\/The-Olacaryn-Nebulae\/TheOlacarynNebulae\/638f749\/90384300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"235\" height=\"342\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This card has gotten me out of many sticky situations when my opponent pops a Rivalry of Warlords, Gozen Match, or There Can Be Only One. With this card, you can banish, face-down, two monsters from your hand or face-up on the field that cannot be Normal Summoned, then draw two cards. I&#8217;ve utilized it in my Pure Shinobird Deck at two, and you won&#8217;t believe how useful it is when your opponents have locked you on the field.
