This means it is up to each player to announce and follow-through with their declarations, card activations, chains, and resolutions. This method of play accurately portrays in-person dueling and encourages player interaction. For distance duels or online play, manual mode as close to in-person dueling you can come. Many players prefer this method of dueling, as it relies on advanced card interaction knowledge and dueling skills not always present in automatic play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"automatic\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Automatic<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the more commonly used methods of distance or online play is automatic Yugioh! In automatic mode, each player is prompted when a card or effect could be activated, and the player then decides whether or not to activate or use the effect. Chains are resolved automatically, and gameplay is more streamlined. This form of play involves extensive backend coding for cards and interactions, but is very user-friendly and is preferred by many new players. Manual mode is more like actual dueling with face-to-face, in-person interaction. But, it puts more responsibility on the player to act, and can sometimes feel more intimidating for some beginner players. Manual mode often requires a great deal of card and deck knowledge as well as information on specific card rulings. Fortunately, many manual mode platforms offer assistance from licensed Yugioh! judges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Automatic mode rarely uses judges, and instead relies on backend coding of rules and card interactions and effects.
