This time, its one of Pegasus&#8217; meanest monsters that get&#8217;s an upgrade: Relinquished the Wicked Eye of Illusion. This updated, upgraded retrain of the classic Ritual Monster <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/duelingnexus.com\/wiki\/Relinquished\">Relinquished<\/a><\/strong> is unlike any Ritual Monster we have ever seen! Check out this unique new monster!<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/yugi.wiki\/assets\/card-images\/common\/64631466.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:281px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 id=\"new-relinquished\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>New Relinquished<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Relinquished the Wicked Eye of Illusion is an all-new Ritual Monster based on the classic <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/duelingnexus.com\/wiki\/Relinquished\">Relinquished<\/a><\/strong> which released in 2000! This new monster is quite the addition to the archetype! It&#8217;s effects are similar to the way it worked in the anime. It&#8217;s second and third effects are as follows: (2) Your opponent takes any damage you would have taken from battles involving this card instead. (3) During the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can target 1 Effect Monster your opponent controls; negate its effects, and if you do, equip it to this card as an Equip Spell that gives it 2000 ATK. These effects are awesome! But, its the card&#8217;s first effects that sets its apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What makes this Ritual Monster so unique is that it can actually Ritual Summon itself without the use of a Ritual Spell! Its first effect is (1) You can Tribute 2 monsters; Special Summon this card from your hand (this is treated as a Ritual Summon). No Ritual Spell! Now, to be fair, this is not the first time this has happened. We were given Miracle Raven, which is a Ritual Pendulum Monster that can Ritual Summon itself from the Pendulum Zone. But even then, the new <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/duelingnexus.com\/wiki\/Relinquished\">Relinquished<\/a><\/strong> still beats it out with its own summoning condition from the hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"release-date\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Release Date<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Relinquished the Wicked Eye of Illusion is set to release in the upcoming <em>Original Artwork Collection<\/em> pack. This pack releases in the OCG September 26, 2026. There is not yet a release date for TCG. However, if you want to give this new card a try, DNX has it!
