What is HAT Format?

HAT is an alternative Yu-Gi-Oh! format based on the summer 2014 NAWCQ. The format gets its name from the three top-performing archetypes/cards of the time: Hand, Artifact, and Traptrix. Many players feel that this time was peak Yu-Gi-Oh!, and praise HAT for its deck variety, strategic game play, and creative deck building. Popular decks and archetypes of HAT format include Mermail, Geargia, Madolche, Spellbook, Bujin, Gishki, Gladiator Beast, Sylvan, Evilswarm, and more.
