One of the biggest mistakes ever made in Yugioh! history was not made by a player, a judge, or a translator, but by a little fuzzy fiend. That’s right! We’re talking about Kuriboh‘s cousin, Sangan! In Yugioh! lore, this little guy got himself involved in a wild adventure all by getting on the wrong bus. Tag along on this strange trip and see just how bad Sangan makes a mistake.
The Wrong Bus

Sangan’s wild ride begins with the card Mistake. As we see in the card’s art, a happy little Sangan is getting on a bus. But, little did he know he had made a big mistake and got on the wrong bus! Sangan wanted to ride on the Tour Bus from the Underworld and go for a nice ride and see the sights, like the Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower, but… he mistakenly got on the Tour Bus to the Forbidden Realms. This simple mistake would start Sangan on an unforgettable journey.
You see, the bus he boarded was bound for the Forbidden Realms, the place were Forbidden Cards go to wait out their time on the Forbidden List. During his journey, Sangan would meet all kinds of monsters that have been banned. In the art of the Tour Bus to the Forbidden Realms, we see Sangan sitting nervously among the banned cards Tribe-Infecting Virus, Cyber-Stein, Magical Scientist, Yata Garasu, and Rescue Cat. Sangan realizes his mistake and fears for his life! But, could there be hope for our fiendish friend?
Out of the Pan and into the Fire

When the bus stops, Sangan hitches a ride with two other banned cards, Graceful Charity and one of the gremlins from Delinquent Duo. In the artwork of Shared Ride, we see Charity trying to calm Sangan, while No. 1 gremlin hits the gas to get out of there. But, the tri does not make it far before they are pulled over by the UPD (Underworld Police Department). All three of them get arrested in the artwork of Mistaken Arrest for carrying illegal dueling contraband: Pot of Greed (wink wink). Sangan is then taken to prison.
After getting arrested, Sangan is thrown in prison in Mistaken Accusation where he shares his cell with another banned card, Witch of the Black Forest. Sangan is seen crying, desperately trying to explain his situation to one of the unsympathetic guards. But, it seems his weird and wild adventure is just too far-fetched for the guard to believe. Perhaps if the Beat Cop from the Underworld or her sister Tour Guide from the Underworld were there, Sangan might have had better luck. But, as it is, he will have to plead his case to Ms. Judge.
Fun and Games?
As we can see, one little mistake can snowball into a giant mess. Poor little Sangan. But, it is amusing to see how the artists and team behind Yugioh! can have fun with their own “mistakes” by showing us what happens to the cards that get banned and where they wait while on the Forbidden List. As we know, not all cards are banned forever!
