What is REDU?
So, what is REDU format? This popular alternate Yugioh! format is a Zexal-era format that highlights Xyz Summing. Set in September of 2012, this format uses the Master Rules 2, and includes cards up to “Return of the Duelist” – REDU. This format is also often called Wind-Up because of the crazy, iconic Wind-Up archetype deck with a low ceiling but great consistency. This format is praised for it’s deck variety, strategic gameplay, and card interaction.

As mentioned above, Wind-Up was a very influential archetype at the time, but the format offers tons of options. Similar in feel to Edison format sometimes, REDU offers what Edison has and more.
