Centurion Decks Deck Profile Yugioh Deck

Hey guys, my name is Orcus and I am currently top 5 on the Dueling Nexus ladder with this Centur-Ion deck. In this article I will be going over the deck list I have been piloting including my card choices and combos to get you started. Some may ask, Why Centurion? Well in this current landscape, Centurion has access to over 15 non-engine slots and their main combo can play through handtraps and locks your opponent. The games go by fast and with practice the skill ceiling of this deck is a bit higher than people expect.

Centur-Ion Deck Main Engine

Currently, the centurion deck has access to 13 one card starters, those being Primera, Stand Up, Trudea, Emblema and Terraforming. This engine is quite resilient, as all of these cards enable you to summon the boss monster King Calamity on your opponent’s turn, just by drawing one of them. In the replay included, I will show you the basic combo, for other forms or extensions of it, please contact my discord psuedomonarchia. This deck’s engine plays over alot of good cards in the meta right now, the main combo ends on 4 summons so your opponent cannot resolve Nibiru. On top of that, droll is usually not a factor as you only search once in the turn (usually with Primera); meaning that if they do droll you they are usually going minus on card advantage. The last big point about the core engine is that while drawing multiple of the monsters doesn’t advance your game state, drawing a monster + one of the spells allows you to play through handtraps.

Horus Engine

In this build, I have decided to play 6 Horus cards, those being the 3 copies of Imsety, 1 copy of Hapi, and 2 copy’s of King’s Sarcophagus. We are playing Pot of Desires in this build so we cannot afford to only play one Sarcophagus, and there are ways to set up Hapi in grave before resolving Pot. These cards add so much to the deck, whether it is going first or second. Going 1st you have options with Vampire Zombie to see your centurion cards if you drew nothing, or if you did, you can make Photon Lord and stop your opponent from hand-trapping you. Then once you’re going second, you have the option to Dingirsu your opponent and then use Zeus to fully clear any board. These cards give a great asset in the resource department and most likely shouldn’t be cut.

Non-Engine

For this section I’ll be brief, with the exception of Pot of Desires and the Horus cards, you have 15 non-engine slots to play around with. Some options you could play are Super polymerization, Bystials in main, talents and thrust etc. Currently the cards I have in are the ones I feel like are most suited to the meta, and as the meta changes you should also adapt.

Extra Deck

To begin, you have to play 3 Legatia. There are alot of builds that play 2, and if you do that you’re just restricting your resources and choke-holding your options. I don’t agree with Red Nova Dragon in this deck because you do not struggle for damage, all of your monsters are 3000+ so having a card just to be a beater makes no sense to me. The Magistus link one comes up a lot for S:P shenanigans and that play is usually followed up by Ty-Phon to break boards. Please remember to let crimson dragon always be chain link 1, because if you don’t calamity misses timing, you do NOT want to lose a game because of this. The extra is a bit tight, even tighter if you add super polymerization targets but without that I think the deck has all the options it needs to be a meta contender, stay on the look-out for more deck profiles by me if you enjoyed this in-depth look at centurion!
