Centurion DECK & how IT workS!

Welcome to the age of modern Yu-Gi-Oh! Monsters which can switch between being traps and monsters within a single turn using this centurion deck! But, how can you utilize these unique monsters to win your duels? Well, here’s a few tips on how to use and learn the “Centur-ion” deck. Let’s start with the main cards shall we?

Centur-Ion Primera: The tuner and searcher in the deck! This card is required to make any synchro in this deck and lets you add one Centur-ion card from your deck to your hand, letting you search the field spell or more combo pieces! It’s effect in the spell/trap zone is also nothing to scoff at!

Centur-Ion Trudea: One of, if not THE best combo starter in the deck. Allowing you to get full combo by changing it between your spells/trap and Monster zone whilst also letting you grab another Centur-ion from your deck to your spell/trap zone!

Centur-Ion Emeth VI: This card doesn’t let you search or add a card from your deck to your hand, however this card is an alternative to Primera when you lack a Level 8 being the only other Centur-ion main deck monster. This card’s graveyard effect allows you to sometimes use an essential “Get out of Jail free” card for your monsters, putting them in the spell/trap zone AND summoning itself.

Stand Up Centur-Ion!: The most essential card in the deck. The field spell. This card has protection, allows you to special summon during your opponent’s turn AND is a combo starter, letting you put a Centur-ion monster in your spell/trap zone. What more could you ask for?

Emblema Oath: A centur-ion card but not in name. Allowing you to set a Centur-ion spell or trap OR put a Centur-ion monster in your spell/trap zone. It’s just as good a combo starter as any of the formerly mentioned cards. However, since this card isn’t a Centur-ion card in its name, you can’t search it with Primera.

Centur-ion Bonds: A nice follow-up piece to many combos, letting you put a centur-ion monster from your hand OR graveyard into the spell/trap zone, letting you repeat your combos later in the game. It’s Graveyard effect is also nothing to scoff at, allowing you to put a Centur-ion monster from your Graveyard into your Spell/trap zone when you Synchro Summon “Centur-ion Legatia”.

Centur-ion Legatia: The Main boss of the Centur-ion cards! Being a Level 12 Synchro, summoned through either Primera and Trudea OR Primera and Emeth-VI. It’s passive effect gives all your monsters with above 2,000 attack battle protection whilst it’s on field, but the greatness has only just begun! Its summon effect allows you to draw a card (This can be ash blossomed but this is only a bonus) and destroy your opponent’s monster with the highest attack! Then, it’s last effect allowing you to put a Centur-ion monster from your Graveyard into your Spell/trap zone. Letting you hopefully synchro summon in your opponent’s turn!

That’s all the Centur-ion cards within the deck, the rest of the Extra deck (besides the Synchros) being unique cards to use against many situations, like abyss Dweller, making your opponent unable to activate cards from their graveyard! Meanwhile, the other main deck monsters serve to disrupt your opponent when going second, and the spells/traps being counters when they disrupt you!

Crimson dragon can summon either Cosmic Blazar Dragon OR Hot Red Dragon Archfiend King Calamity during your opponent’s turn (if there is a Synchro Monster on the field) to either have another disruption for your opponent or fully stop them from playing the game!

The main combo goes like this (only 1 card!)

Centur-ion Trudea:

  • Normal summon Centurion Trudea
  • Activate its effect, putting Primera from deck into your Spell/trap zone.
  • Summon Primera from your spell/trap zone, activate its effect and Add “Stand-up Centur-ion!”
  • Activate Stand-up Centur-ion, discarding a card to put Emeth-VI from your deck in your spell/trap zone.
  • Summon Emeth-VI from your spell/trap zone
  • Synchro Summon Centur-ion Legatia using Emeth-VI and Primers, drawing a card and destroying the monster your opponent controls with the highest attack.
  • End Phase, activate Centur-ion Legatia to set Centur-ion Primera from your Graveyard to your Spell/trap zone.

Your end board should consist of this:

  • Centur-ion Legatia in your Monster zone
  • Stand-up Centur-ion in your field spell zone
  • Centur-ion Primera & Centur-ion Trudea in your spell/trap zone as Continuous traps.

Then, when it’s your opponents main phase, you can summon Primera and Trudea to synchro summon Crimson Dragon. MAKE SURE CRIMSON DRAGON IS CHAIN LINK 1. Then, target Centur-ion Legatia with Crimson dragon allowing you to summon “Hot Red Dragon Archfiend King Calamity” from your Extra deck. Then, activate “Hot Red Dragon Archfiend King Calamity” to stop your opponent from activating on field effects!

Now get in there and ruin everyone’s day with Centur-ion!
