My deck of choice is the Dinomorphia. This has been my favorite deck since Dinomorphia Frenzy and Dinomorphia Rexturm got released. The object of the deck is control. Utilizing traps like Dinomorphia Frenzy and Dinomorphia Domain allow the player to Fusion Summon power Dinosaur Fusion Monsters to stop the opponent from activating monster effects that they control.
The gimmick of the deck is, the lower your Life Points are the more advantage you have. Each Dinomorphia trap cuts your life points in half, making Dinomorphia Rexturm a force to be reckoned with. Each normal trap has a graveyard effect that prevents effect Damage. The Dinomorphia counter traps have a similar effect, which prevent battle damage. Dinomorphia Kentregina is a great beater with an amazing effect that can copy any Dinomorphia normal trap in grave.
With the addition the newest counter trap, Dinomorphia Intact, is what the deck desperately needed, a searchable Monster negate counter trap. For a while the best way to counter the deck was to discard Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring similar to Despia’s main weakness. The Deck comes with multiple other powerful traps, including Dinomorphia Alert, the decks version of Monster Reborn. Dinomorphia Brute is a non-target Destruction. And Dinomorphia is the Spell/Trap Negate.
In regards to Hand Traps, I believe Droll & Lock Bird, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring and Nibiru, the Primal Being are the best Hand Traps this format. Utilizing Ash Blossom and Rexturm to Synchro Summon into Psychic End Punisher is usually game. Since your Life Points are always low, IT makes Psychic End Punisher an One Punch OTK, Especially after using Dinomorphia Rexturm’s effect.
Lastly, the Supreme King Z-ARC engine was added to make the opponent double guess activating spells. Other than Z-ARC, Brave Eyes Pendulum Dragon is the perfect card to stop monsters with 0 ATK, which is another weakness of the deck. Starving Venom Fusion dragon is just another monster with 2800 ATK. But Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon is the decks Spell Trap Negate.
Lastly there are numerous ways to make sure that you get the cards you need. Pot of Prosperity allows you to dig up to 6 cards in your deck, while Pot of Duality Allows you to dig the top 3. The new Card Wannabee! Is a great new addition to the Trap deck strategy, allowing you to dig through the top 5 cards to set a trap during any players End Phase.
