How To Play

Welcome to my Exodia Deck Profile for 2023! Ever wanted to play Exodia but tired or not too fond of repeatedly drawing and/or stalling – This may just be the deck for you! Though it’s a casual deck, nothing stops you from playing it against meta or rogue decks.

This deck is packed with Level 7 monsters that can be Normal Summoned without tribute, like Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast, Lord Gaia, the Fierce Knight, and Wandering Gryphon Rider. This is to prepare your other two main cards, Level Resist Wall and ‘Sound the Retreat!‘.

Once you have a Level 7 monster on the field and it’s either destroyed by battle or opponent’s card effect, activate Level Resist Wall. This will allow you to Special Summon monster(s) from your Deck in Defense, which equals its combined Level. Hince it’s Level 7, we can obtain all Forbidden One pieces along with Exodia the Forbidden One. Then, before your opponent realizes your plan, you’ll activate ‘Sound the Retreat!‘ and return them all to the hand. You’ve won! – It’s that simple.

Additional Deck Info

A few Level 3s and Level 1s have been added to the deck in case you draw one of the Exodia materials, allowing you to substitute them to the hand instead and not hindering your win condition.

A few stall cards were also added, such as Gozen Match and Skill Drain, just in case you need time to gain those two or three special cards. The Extra Deck also allows some plays to further your stall in case you don’t draw into a favorable hand.

A fun way to play Exodia. Hope you enjoy it!
