How To Play

Welcome to my Labrynth Deck Profile for 2023! The “Labrynth” archetype focuses on removal effects along with traps to control the field and create an advantage at the expense of your opponent. Multiple trigger effects can lead to various combo lines that strain your enemy’s resources, whether from the hand, field, or GY.

To start things off, a fantastic draw card is Arianna the Labrynth Servant, especially on Turn 1. Although this can lead to several plays, depending on your hand, your leading picks will be either Welcome Labrynth or Big Welcome Labrynth. Both allow you to Special Summon a “Labrynth” monster, with Big Welcome being the pinnacle as it returns a card from the field to the hand. If you drew into something like Labrynth Cooclock or obtained it via a Labrynth card, you can also use it to activate a Normal Trap on the field, which can also be a Labrynth Trap.

Next off, Lady Labrynth of the Silver Castle is your leading lady when it comes to control on your enemy’s turn. If a “Labrynth” effect was activated that turn, you can SS her from the hand, and while you own a set card, she cannot be destroyed or targeted. Also, if you activate a Normal Trap Card, she can set 1 Normal Trap from your Deck with a different name. You should try to have her on the field or hand to take advantage of this effect whenever you get the chance, as it’s crucial for getting your grind in motion.

And for continuous momentum, we have Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle. With her, any of your Normal Trap cards cannot be interacted with by monster effects, and if another card leaves the field due to your Normal Trap card, you can destroy 1 card in your opponent’s hand (at random) or their field. Also, she can set 1 Normal Trap in your GY to the field, issuing a relentless response to whatever your opponent is playing.

Your field spell, Labrynth Labyrinth, provides pops as well as Special Summons of fiends from the hand or GY. Traps like Eradicator Epidemic Virus, Dimensional Barrier, and Dogmatika Punishment will most plausibly be put on a repeat as your opponent tries to find a way to stop this endless assault of traps.

Additional Deck info

Labrynth Chandraglier and Labrynth Stovie Torbie allow end-turn setups for Labrynth Spell/Trap cards on your enemy’s turn(s), so try to use them on their end phase.

An interesting interaction between either of the above cards and Nibiru, the Primal Being, is that you can activate Nibiru on their fifth summon, chain with, for instance, Tovie so that it discards the card before summoning a token on their field.

Chaos Angel can be summoned with Labrynth Stovie Torbie and Lovely or Lady. You can also utilize Wannabee! for the summon as well, but you probably want to use her for her end-phase effect unless you need to.

Speaking on Wannabee!, it’s an excellent card that’ll provide an advantage on either turn and is a must-have (in my opinion) for a deck of this caliber, where the draws mean everything.

After EEV, Dogmatika Punishment is going to be your best friend, as there’s a variety of cards in the Extra Deck to choose from. While there are obvious choices like Elder Entity N’tss and Garura, Wings of Resonant Life, to shake things up, I’ve added Mereologic Aggregator for GY negation, Golden Cloud Beast – Malong for returns to the hand (in trade of indestructible cards), and Tri-Brigade Arms Bucephalus II for an entire opponent field banishment. Ultimate Slayer is also great for these Extra Deck monsters that can be traded in if you need an extra strategy.

That’s all I’ve got! I hope you enjoy playing Lab!
