How To Play

Welcome to my Shinobird Deck for 2023! Ever wanted to try a simple Ritual Deck? Well, look no further! This deck utilizes the powerful Shinobaron and Shinobaroness, along with different Spirit Monsters, to completely overwhelm your opponent and take control of the field.

The main strategy of this deck is to obtain Shinobaroness Peacock and/or Shinobaron Peacock on your field to get rid of enemy Traps/Spells as well as Monsters and sabotage their next turn with your Spirit Archetype.

Shinobaroness Peacock is probably the first card you’ll want to see in your hand or search with Pre-Preparation of Rites. This is mainly because she allows you to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Spirit Monster from the Deck. You’ll use her to either get Aratama (for searching other Spirit monsters), Nikitama (for an additional Normal Summon of a Sprit Monster), Amano-Iwato (restricting activation of monster effects unless it’s a Spirit archetype), or Yata-Garasu (mainly for the mid-late game once they have 1-2 cards in their hand so they can’t draw).

If you’re going second, searching, or Ritual Summon, Shinobaron Peacock is probably a good bet. He can return three monsters your opponent controls, then Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Spirit monster from your hand, regardless of its Summoning conditions. This effect is mainly to get Amano-Iwato on the field so he can block any future or in-place effects on the field.

After every Ritual Summon involving either of the Shino-Peacock Ritual Monsters, they’ll leave the field at the end of your turn and be replaced with two Level 4 tokens. This means you’ll be left with some defense and, if they’re left unharmed, free Ritual Summon material using Shinobird’s Calling. Also, did I mention its core Ritual Summon card can also banish Spirit Monsters from the Graveyard for tributes? Yep, pretty cool, right?

Additional Deck Info

This deck has a great consistency and a small card flux, so cards like Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Triple Tactics Thrust, and Lightning Storm in the Main Deck allow you to go up against some of the best while also being able to have fun! It also uses one Shinobird Power Spot, just in case you need some extra power.

The Extra Deck is full of useful cards like Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy and Underworld Goddess of the Closed World, as it’s easy for you to get multiple cards and tokens on the field for some easy Level 7 plays and Link Monster summons.

Anyways, hope you’ll have as much fun as I’ve had playing this deck! Enjoy!
