How To Play

Welcome to my Stun Lock Deck Profile for 2023! Want to take a break from the meta and just wing with a few field negates and traps? Well, this deck is for you! This deck includes new Time-Tearing Morganite and classics that can easily take on the best, while the Side Deck considers almost every counter that can be thrown at you.

First, every deck has its most important card(s). This deck is no exception and has three: Thunder King Rai-Oh, Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo, and Banisher of the Radiance. Rai-Oh makes it so either opponent cannot add cards from the Deck to the hand except for drawing, Dyna disallows Special Summoning from either opponent, and Banisher causes any card sent to the Graveyard to be banished. Having even one of these cards can absolutely crush several meta decks right now, but two or three eliminates almost every threat.

Time-Tearing Morganite is also just as important, allowing you to draw 2 cards on your Draw Phase and allowing you to conduct 2 Normal Summons. Drawing this card and two of your main monsters is one of the greatest combos you can perform in this deck. Speaking of Spells and Traps, Lose 1 Turn and Dogmatika Punishment are just as important. The former allows any Special Summoned monster to go into Defense while negating any effects on that same turn, while the ladder can chain with Elder Entity N’tss and get rid of any pesky face-downs or cards on your opponent’s turn.

A favorite of mine in this deck is Unending Nightmare, which allows you to pay 1000 LP to destroy 1 face-up Spell/Trap on the field. Easily able to deal with disruptive field cards and the like. But even then, just negate them all together with Anti-Spell Fragrance or a Solemn Judgment. As you can see, there are tons of ways to play this deck and get the upper hand, regardless of the situation.

Additional Deck info

Moon Mirror Shield is going to be your best friend going second, allowing you to take on any monster your opponent may have on the field. Paired with Armory Call, you’ll always have a way to eliminate intimidating foes. Don’t forget about

Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo flip effect, that if it’s flipped face-up, it destroys all Special Summoned monsters on the field. However, I wouldn’t use this on my first turn, especially Round 1, when I don’t know what my opponent could be playing. It’s better in most situations in Attack Position, so when in doubt, just Normal Summon it.

Starlight Road is another great card that can save you in dire situations. Whenever you use Pot of Prosperity, remember to keep at least two or three Stardust Dragons so the effect can activate, as it won’t unless you have one in the Extra Deck.

That’s pretty much it! Hope you enjoy playing this deck!
