What could possibly be better than Polymerization? Super Polymerization! And what could be better than Super Poly? Super Duper Polymerization!… No, seriously, it’s actually a thing… Anyway! Super Poly is a super popular card, and not just because it is a fusion spell, but also because it is very useful board breaker. Let’s take a closer look!

Fusion!
Fusion Summoning has been a Yugioh! game mechanic since its inception. And, actually, the Extra Deck was originally called the Fusion Deck! Now there are all kinds of monsters in the Extra Deck. In its simplest form, a Fusion Summon is conducted through the use of the Spell Card Polymerization. Just play the Spell while you control the monsters listed on the Fusion Monster in your Hand or on your Field, and BOOM! Fusion Summon! Many of the old Fusion Monsters were very simple, and used specific materials. For example: Petit Angel + Mystical Sheep #2 = Fusionist. However, as the game evolved, Fusion Monsters did, too.
Poly, Poly, Poly!
As Yugioh! has evolved, so, too, have Fusion Monsters! Many Fusion Monsters now require generic materials or general, archetypal materials rather than specific named monsters. This is not always the case., however. But, we have come a long way from the original Polymerization. Some other Poly variants or retrains or evolutions include Super Polymerization, Super Duper Polymerization, Heavy Polymerization, Greater Polymerization, and Ultra Polymerization. There are even more generic or semi-generic Fusion Spells, like Instant Fusion, Overload Fusion, Double Fusion, Ghost Fusion, Necro Fusion, and more! And, of course, most Fusion-based archetypes now have one or more in-archetype Fusion Spells, like Gem Knights, Shadoll, or Frightfur. But one Spell stands out above them all.
Super Poly

That’s right! Super Poly! Of all the generic and semi-generic Fusion Spells and Traps out there, Super Poly remains one of the most-used and most reliable of them all, when it comes to board breaking, that is! You see, what makes Super Poly so good is its ease of use, simple cost, and versatility. Super Poly can be very easy to tech into many decks. And it’s simple cost of discarding one card can often be beneficial instead of a hinderance. Plus, it can be used to Fusion Summon so many different targets. AND! It is a Quick Play Spell! You can activate this card from your Hand at any time during your turn, and you can even set this card and use it on your opponent’s turn!
And while Super Poly is a great, Quick Play Fusion Spell, it is often used primarily as a board breaker rather than a fusion staple. You see, the beauty of Super Poly is that you can use monsters from either side of the Field! That’s right, you can use your opponent’s monsters as material for your own Fusion Summon! Now, you cannot always rely on your opponent to run the monsters you need to conduct your Fusion Summons, you can use some generic or semi-generic Fusion Monsters in your Extra Deck that can be easy targets for your Super Poly.
Take a look at the following list of generic and semi-generic Fusion Monsters that can be easy Super Poly choices.
