Intro

What is HAT?

HAT format has nothing to do with hats. It is an acronym for Hand Artifact and Traptrix. These three archetypes defined the meta at the time of the summer 2014 NAWCQ. Cards like Fire Hand, Artifact Moralltach, and Traptrix Myrmeleo dominated the stage. Many players feel that this time was peak Yugioh!, and praise HAT for its variety, strategic game play, and creative deck building. When it comes to old-school, classic Yugioh!, HAT is a very popular format.
