What is Tengu Format?
So, what is Tengu Format? Well, Tengu, sometimes called Tengu Plant, is an alternate Yugioh! format based on the September 2011 YCS held in Toronto. The format gets its name from the top deck at the event, a deck that focused on Reborn Tengu and Plant-type Tuners to fuel a Synchro-based strategy. This format also introduced the first use of Xyz Monsters, as Generation Force was the last set allowed. Xyz Monsters coupled with new Synchro Monsters like Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier or T.G. Hyper Librarian gives the format tons of potential for rogue strategies.

Tengu Format is very popular for its deck variety and flexibility. While there are a few top-performing decks, there is tons of room for competitive success for rogue decks.
