The January 2024 TCG banlist goes into effect today, that means a new ranked season is starting on Dueling Nexus, as well as Battle Pass season 4! Here is a full list of new features coming out with the new TCG banlist:
- A Ranked Season reset, featuring the new January 2024 TCG Banlist.
- A new Battle Pass, featuring all-new exclusive Avatars, Sleeves, Borders, Frames, and Playmats based on popular archetypes, such as Centur-ion, Rescue-ACE, Diabellstar, and more!
- A New Rarity: Anniversary Rare.
- A Boutique refresh, with new Seasonal items featured for the current season. Additionally, items from the Season 1 Battle Pass and Titles will be added soon!
Retro Formats Are Here
Additional Retro Formats, such as HAT, DUEA, and TOSS have been implemented! Players can choose these formats when creating Custom Games.
Later on, the main Duel Lobby will be reworked, and a Featured Playlist of changing game modes will be added, which will include Matchmaking Queues for these Retro Formats.
Alongside this lobby rework will include the addition of a Ranked Edison Match queue, alongside an accompanying Leaderboard section.
Dueling Nexus Partner Program
Previously discussed in last season’s post, we have officially launched the Dueling Nexus Partner Program! The Dueling Nexus Partner Program is a way for Content Creators to connect with their followers, expand their network, and join a growing community of fellow Content Creators. In essence, partners will receive their own Partner Code, unlimited Contributor Time, ability to promote their content in our platform, and much more!
WHAT COMES NEXT?
We plan to release a few new features over the course of this season, including:
- Challenges, a new way to play where users can perform daily, weekly, and seasonal missions to unlock XP, Rarity Tokens, and Credits.
- Manual Mode, a new game mode where users will be able to play their own way, without card scripts and automatic systems.
- Nyx Plushie! We are partnering with the content creator inspired manufacturing company Makeship to produce Nyx Plushies for charity! 100% of the proceeds of every sale will go to Community Forests International, an international non-profit organisation dedicated to combating deforestation.
